Getting
Started

Sometimes, taking the first step and reaching out to a new counselor can feel like the hardest part.

I truly believe that the therapeutic relationship is key, which is why I offer a complimentary 20-minute phone or video consultation. This gives us the opportunity to see if we’re a good fit and allows me to understand your concerns and goals as we begin to explore how I can best support you.

What's Involved?
  • Once you reach out via email, I will get back to you within 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays

  • Once we connect, we’ll arrange your complimentary 20-minute phone or video consultation.

  • After the consultation, if it is a fit for you, we’ll schedule your session. You’ll then receive an intake and confidentiality form to complete.

  • You will receive a booking confirmation. Your appointment is for a virtual session and you will be sent an email with the link to use for sessions

  • During the first session, we’ll likely cover some intake questions, such as any relevant medical diagnoses, significant life events, or family dynamics. However, if you prefer, we can also dive directly into what’s bothering you. We will also discuss the limits of confidentiality to ensure you feel safe and informed.

  • In our sessions, we will collaborate to explore the concerns that are most pressing for you and identify practical steps to help you find relief and a sense of agency.

  • At the start of our time together, the goal is for you to get a sense of whether we are a good fit, and together we’ll begin identifying areas to focus on for immediate relief.

  • After your session, you will receive an emailed receipt containing details about, which you can submit to your insurance provider if you wish.
